Swedish Sauna Sydney

Taking care of your body requires more than simple cardio and weight training. Relaxation and recovery are just as important, and one of our members’ favourite things we offer is the Swedish sauna. We have two large size traditional Swedish saunas at our Premier Health and Fitness Centre in Sydney, which treats the body with dry heat to detoxify and relax the muscles.

Our detoxifying Swedish sauna in Sydney

Our state-of-the-art Swedish saunas use traditional Scandinavian culture to improve your health and well-being in more ways than one. Our saunas are kept at the optimal temperature for detoxification and health benefits. There are a number of beneficial reasons why you might use a sauna, including stress relief, pain reduction, improved skin health, and better cardiovascular health.

Sweating it out in our Swedish saunas is one of our members’ favourite ways to end their visit to our Sydney centre, and with our marble bathrooms and complimentary towel service, we’ll make sure you’re well taken care of while visiting our spa.

Questions? Answers.

Do I need to pre-book a place in the Swedish sauna?

No, there is no need to pre-book your visit to our saunas. Just like the rest of our exercise zones and swimming pool, we don't ask our members to book places as we think this can leave room for disappointment. Instead, you're free to visit our sauna whenever you want!

Do I need to bring my own towel?

No, not if you don't want to! We offer our members a complimentary towel service which means you can use one of our clean, fluffy towels every single time you visit our sauna. Don't worry if you've left your towel at home - we've got you covered.

What are the benefits of using a Swedish sauna?

There are plenty of benefits that come with exposing the body to the high temperatures that our Swedish saunas reach, including:

  • Relaxation of the muscles

  • Pain relief and less muscle soreness

  • Improved skin health and blood flow

  • Reduced stress

Research has also indicated that extended use of saunas can reduce your risk of some diseases such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, stroke, pulmonary diseases, and some types of dementia.

How many times a week should I visit the sauna?

Most experts recommend three sauna sessions a week for no longer than 20 minutes each. However, some of our members find it best to start off slow and let their bodies adjust, so we recommend quick five-minute sessions before slowly increasing the length of your visits.

What other facilities are available?

Along with our Swedish saunas, our Sydney centre holds plenty of facilities such as our cardio and weight training zones, a 25m swimming pool, a luxurious spa, cold plunge pools, and our steam rooms.
